Started in 1973, Young Arts provides exciting opportunities for children and young people to expand their horizons through their involvement in creative arts activities.

Every year we fund a new initiative to help young people develop an interest in the arts. We hold a monthly raffle to raise extra funds for young arts work.

In 2017 we awarded a prize to a student in the Art department of Cirencester College.

We also agreed to grant aid an illustrated book which the pupils at Minchinhampton Junior School wrote during 2016 and which was  published on 10th June 2017. Pictures of the this project are in the gallery.

We are also contributing funds and assistance to the local schools who have made a quilt and mosaic panels as part of the celebrations for ABBEY900-the 900th anniversary of the founding of St. Marys Abbey in Cirencester in 1117. See the News page for a picture of the finished quilt.

We have a vacancy for a new Young Arts Rep as from January next year (2018).  If you are interested in becoming involved with Young Arts please contact Lizzie Brett (West Mercia Area Young Arts Coordinator) 07857 553832.
