Lecturer:  Doug Gillen

Title: ' Graffiti - Is it Street Art?'

Doug Gillen is an exciting and topical lecturer, heavily involved in documenting the street art scene in London and abroad through his project Fifth Floor TV.  He offers a sympathetic and amusing insight into the world of street art/graffiti.  Doug previously worked for London Art and More.  When not filming for Fifth Floor TV, he is an East End tour guide for Alternative London, specialising in culture and art.  He offers a genuine insight into the world, capturing stories, movements and events around London, focusing heavily on street art. As Doug says: 'Graffiti and street art give people a voice - a tool which can be used to challenge space...'

As an affiliated lecturer for The Arts Society, his lectures are always exciting and topical - an hour spent with Doug is a perfect antidote to a Saturday afternoon spent shopping !
